Time of celebration
With Christmas came a copious amount of consumption. From turkey and trimmings, chocolate and cheese, the festive season is a time when countless people around the world indulge in a certain feast of fine food, wine … and even more on food and wine. So this time New Year came around a mere seven days later, anyone could be forgiven for wanting a little in front of enthusiasm. Moreover, there is so much pressure to go out and celebrate the arrival of a new year, it often leads to frustration, to the pub, clubs and many street parties charging exorbitant amounts to cram into tight spaces.
It may paint an overly bleak picture of what is supposed to be a time of celebration, but it is a reality for many people and one that reflects all demographics. Moreover, many argue that the best New Years is when it is treated like a normal weekend, have stifled expectations and an ‘easy come, easy go’ attitude, it can often make for the best night out. After a hectic, hedonistic Christmas though, just getting away and having a change of scenery for a few days might be the best way of spending during the New Year. Furthermore, no need to venture too far: in the UK is full of fantastic destinations, catering for all requirements.
